Coastal Carolina Community CollegeFor several years, Onslow Literacy Council Inc. has partnered with Coastal's Service Learning Program, which provides their students with volunteer opportunities through our organization. In return, Coastal always ensures space in their library should our students or tutors ever need a safe space for sessions outside of our personal classrooms.
Onslow county emergency servicesOnslow Literacy Council Inc. is very fortunate to have a partnership with the local volunteer fire stations throughout Jacksonville. Because of this, tutors at OLC are able to meet their students in safety at a nearby fire station should the student be unable to travel to our personal classrooms.

Onslow county public libraryThe library is an invaluable resource for all of our community members. We are fortunate to have opportunities to partner with Onslow County Public Library for resource fairs, tutoring sessions, and educational awareness activities. Staff at the library have always been more than helpful in helping us use their programs to research potential grants and funding for our nonprofit organization. We love our local library!
Onslow caring communities foundationWe are grateful recipients of two Onslow Caring Communities Foundation Grants. The first allowed us to purchase new laptops for our computer lab, curriculum for our library, training supplies for our tutors, and outreach materials for the resource and educational fairs we attend throughout the year. The second allowed us to upgrade donor records. Onslow Literacy Council Inc. is thankful for supportive community members and the funding they supply to our program!

Blank canvas awareness artBlank Canvas Awareness Art is a local nonprofit that us run by Donna Gargett. Over the last year, Donna has greatly supported our organization by attending our events, training our tutors on dyslexia topics, and providing insight and guidance on dyslexia's impact on literacy. We look forward to partnering with Donna and her mission to mentor, educate, tutor, and advocate by using art later on this year for our spring fundraiser.
proliteracyAs members of ProLiteracy, we have access to excellent adult education curriculum and resources. Nearly all of our curriculum is ProLiteracy based, and we have seen wonderful success with our tutors and students alike by using ProLiteracy materials. We occasionally receive book-specific grant funds through the company and are thankful for the resources they provide to our organization.
